Transport

Airport bus:

The bus lines from the airport are run by Flygbussarna (https://www.flygbussarna.se/en/) and have departures roughly every 15-25 minutes. It takes around 35 minutes to get to the central station. It stops at Korsvägen (close to Liseberg), Berzeliigatan (close to Avenyn, the big parade street), Kungsportsplatsen (among the shopping streets) and Nils Ericsonterminalen (at the central station). To get to the conference venue it is recommended to get off at the central station. You can buy tickets in the ticket machines at the airport or bus stops or in the app or web page. A ticket costs 129 kr (roughly 11 euro) on the app/web page and 149 kr (roughly 13 euro) at the ticket machines for a single fare, and there are some group or youth discounts.

Public transport in the city:

Download the “Västtrafik” app, the local public transport app for planning and paying for your public transport (tram, bus, boat). Tickets may also be bought in certain local shops. See www.vasttrafik.se for more info.

Recommended ticket (busses, trams, ferries)  - västtrafik, zone A 3-day ticket

Gets you around all of central Gothenburg, including Mölndal and the archipelago for three days.

Important ferry lines:

Line 286, the free ferry, connects Stenpiren with Lindholmen. Can be recognized with a green flag,

This is the free option connecting the conference center area with central Gothenburg.

Ticketed ferry (Multiple stops along the river, including Stenpiren and Lindholmen), line 285

This ferry can be taken on the zone A ticket and takes you around all River adjacent parts of the city.

Important busses and trams:

Bus 16, is the best way to get from the city center and the central station to the conference venue. Central station bus stop: “Nordstan”, Conference venue bus stop: “Lindholmen”.

Tram line 6, is the closest thing we have to a ring-line. It travels from northern Gothenburg, circles the city, including the most important areas like the central station, Hagakyrkan,  Järntorget, Linnéplatsen, Sahlgrenska Hospital (close to Natrium), Korsvägen, and then goes to northeastern Gothenburg.

Tram line 1, is a good way of accessing Stenpiren, where the ferry to the conference venue leaves. It connects the central station, Stenpiren, Järntorget, and Linneplatsen, along with multiple other stops.

Tram line 9, is another great connection with Stenpiren. This one shares many stops with line 1, but on one end passes Masthugget and Majorna to go out to the ferries toward the archipelago (Saltholmen).
